FAQs
1. How do neurotoxins like Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin work? They temporarily relax specific facial muscles to soften expression lines and prevent deeper wrinkles from forming. You’ll still look like you—just a little smoother, more rested, and less tense.
2. When will I see results? • Dysport: 2–3 days (fastest onset) • Botox/Xeomin: 3–5 days Full results typically appear by day 7–10, depending on the product and area treated.
3. How long does it last? Most treatments last 3–4 months. Some clients may metabolize faster (especially athletes or those with high muscle activity), while others enjoy results closer to 5 months.
4. Does it hurt? Most patients say it feels like a small pinch. We use tiny needles and can apply numbing cream or ice for sensitive areas if needed. The procedure usually takes less than 10 minutes.
5. Will I look frozen or unnatural? Nope. At Icon Aesthetics, we specialize in natural-looking results. You’ll look refreshed and expressive—never overdone. Our goal is for people to notice you look great, not wonder what you had done.
6. Is there any downtime? Not really! You can return to most daily activities immediately. Minor redness, swelling, or tiny bumps at injection sites typically resolve within an hour. Avoid for 24 hours: strenuous workouts, facial massage, laying flat, or alcohol.
7. What areas can be treated? • Forehead lines • Frown lines (glabella/“11s”) • Crow’s feet • Bunny lines (nose scrunch) • Lip flip / gummy smile • Masseters (jawline slimming / TMJ) • Chin dimpling • Neck bands (platysmal bands)
8. How much does it cost? We charge: • $12/unit for Botox • $4/unit for Dysport (requires more units, but same price per area) Your total cost depends on the number of units needed based on muscle strength and goals—typically $200–$400 per area
9. Can I combine neurotoxins with other treatments? Yes! Tox pairs beautifully with dermal fillers, microneedling, or chemical peels. It’s also a great foundation for long-term skin rejuvenation plans.
10. Is it safe? Absolutely—when administered by licensed medical professionals. Neurotoxins have been FDA-approved for cosmetic use for over 20 years, with an excellent safety profile
