Dermal Fillers at Icon Aesthetics

The Juvederm® line of fillers are injectable medications that are placed into the skin at different depths to help fill in facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, augment facial features, and restore a youthful appearance. The Juvederm® line of fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring polysaccharide that is present in skin and cartilage. The duration of filler varies based on the product used and ranges from 6-24 months.

FAQs

1. What are dermal fillers? Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial features. They are most commonly made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps retain moisture and softness.

1. What is the difference between hyaluronic acid fillers and biostimulators like Sculptra and Radiesse? Hyaluronic acid fillers provide instant volume and can be dissolved if needed- perfect for lips, eyes, cheeks and under-eyes. Biostimulators like Sculptra and Radiesse work by stimulating your body's natural collagen production, giving gradual, long lasting results, ideal for deeper volume loss and overal skin rejuvenation. Dermal fillers are injectable gels used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial features. They are most commonly made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps retain moisture and softness.

3. What areas can be treated with fillers? • Lips (volume, shape, hydration) • Cheeks (lift and contour) • Chin and jawline (definition and symmetry) • Smile lines (nasolabial folds) • Marionette lines (corners of the mouth) • Temples and under-eyes (tear troughs) • Nose (non-surgical rhinoplasty) • Hands (volume restoration)

4. How long do fillers last? It depends on the type of filler and treatment area, but most fillers last 6 to 18 months. Areas with more movement (like lips) may metabolize faster, while deeper areas (cheeks, jawline) often last longer

5. Will I look fake or overdone? Not at Icon Aesthetics! We specialize in natural, artful enhancement that complements your facial features. Our goal is for people to notice you look amazing—not necessarily that you had filler.

6. What is the downtime? Most patients experience mild swelling, redness, or bruising for a few days. Lip filler may swell more noticeably for the first 24–48 hours. You can return to normal activities right away, but avoid strenuous workouts, alcohol, or facial massage for 24–48 hours

7. Does it hurt? We use numbing cream that is specially compounded for Icon Aesthetics and fillers that contain lidocaine to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Most patients say it feels like pressure or a pinch, not true pain.

8. How much does it cost? Pricing depends on the area treated and the amount of product used. Most syringes range from $600–$800, and some areas (like cheeks or jawline) may require 1–2 syringes per side for optimal results. We’ll always discuss your goals and budget before treatment.

9. How do I prepare for filler? • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, and blood thinners for 48 hours (unless medically necessary) • Come with a clean face—no makeup • Take Arnica or Bromelain if prone to bruising (optional)

10. Are fillers safe? Yes—when performed by qualified medical professionals. At Icon Aesthetics, our team is trained in advanced techniques and facial anatomy to ensure safe, beautiful outcomes. We also follow strict protocols for managing rare risks like vascular occlusion.
